WHAT WE DO

USAID USAWA Program fosters collaboration and networking between national and county- based organizations empowering civil society, the private sector, citizen networks, and coalitions to own, lead and catalyze efforts to reduce fraud, waste, and abuse of public resources for improved service delivery.

Research and Learning Activities

Conducting assessments and studies to understand the dynamics of fraud, waste, and abuse in the health sector across Isiolo, Kakamega, Kilifi, Mombasa, and Nakuru counties.

Capacity Strengthening initiatives

Focus on enhancing existing skills and knowledge of citizens, health sector stakeholders, and law enforcement agencies to address gaps in efficiencies, transparency, and accountability.

Social Accountability

Mechanisms are planned to enhance citizens’ participation in decision- making and oversight processes in health service delivery, while advocacy efforts also aim to raise awareness, influence policy change, and mobilize support for anti-corruption measures.

Health systems strengthening

Pursued through targeted interventions to improve governance, financing, procurement, and information systems, thereby enhancing transparency and accountability.

Technology and other Innovative data management.

Monitoring, and reporting solutions to facilitate real-time tracking of resources and activities.
